  Craniosacral Therapy

What is CST ?

Craniosacral Therapy

is a very gentle non-invasive, hands-on therapy, that is profoundly relaxing.

It helps to boost general well-being

· reduce stress

· improve quality of sleep

· increase energy

· enhance the functioning of all the body's organs.

It is a therapy that works with the entire structure, physiology, mind and spirit.

It is carried out with the client lying fully clothed on a massage table.

Gentle touch and light holds are applied to different parts of the body.

This can assist the body in adjusting any imbalances there may be and can soothe pain and release both emotional and physical stress and tension.

Most people go to sleep during the treatment, as it totally relaxes your whole body.

Craniosacral therapy is suitable for adults, children and babies; and can be beneficial to you if you suffer from :

· Chronic neck & back pain

· Headaches and migraines

· Stress

· Chronic Fatigue

· Anxiety

· Menopause; can help relieve menopausal symptoms.

· TMJ  & jaw/ grinding problems.

· ADD / ADHD

· Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

· Post –Concussion Symptoms

· Central Nervous System Disorders

Relaxation has long been valued for its healing and restorative effects on the body and encouraging deep states of relaxation in the body is easily facilitated by Craniosacral therapy. The main centers of the nervous system lie in the cranial and sacral regions and the gentle manipulations of CST modulate the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems, optimizing the function of both. Craniosacral therapy is useful as both a primary treatment method or as part of a treatment programme, combined with other traditional or complementary techniques. The vast majority of conditions are safe to be treated with craniosacral therapy.

In conclusion the aim of CST is to assist and support the body as it heals itself and to optimize its functional level.
